The silking is a mechanical treatment, which consists in making an irregular and oxidized surface of an object (with grooves, dents, craters) regularly satinized with matt, semi-bright appearance, with discrete parallel well defined grooves.
The material after the treatment has a satinized surface, free from dents and craters, suitable for electrochemical treatments.
