The stainless steel passivation is a surface treatment usually used to remove machining residues and contaminants and to allow the rapid formation of passive oxide film on the metal surface of the parts in order to maximize corrosion resistance.
The chemical passivation treatment is carried out by immersing the parts in an acid solution (nitric acid HNO3).
