With a view to ensuring ever greater safety, Silga has long since completely removed the use of hexavalent chromium (Cr+6) in the treatment of anodic oxidation, brilliant and satin, used for technical and decorative purposes, achieving equal performance in terms of corrosion resistance, electrical contact resistance, adhesion for paints and lacquers, and for what concerts the weight of the coating, all in total safety.
Silga has therefore anticipated the entry into force of the standard that from September 2024 regulates the use of hexavalent chromium in its processes and products (REACH regulation), because it is considered to have an impact on the environment and the waste water treatment system.
Another step forward for Silga in the name of safeguarding the health of all of us and our planet.
