The synergy between the two souls of Silga, the electronics division of Silga Connect technology and the galvanic one of Silga Beyond surfaces has always been a relevant asset that increases the overall competitive value of Silga.
This is particularly true when talking about connectors; indeed, Silga Connect technology can realize connectors made by using the photoetching process, a chemical process used to create accurate precision components from a wide range of metals by using digital tools, eliminating the cost of complex hard tools. Thanks to our know-how, we are able to design products with complex geometric shapes and extremely accurate tolerances.
On the other hand Silga Beyond surfaces, with its extensive know-how in surface treatments, has recently inaugurated a new line completely dedicated to connectors plating. A new in-barrel plant that meets all of our customers’ needs in terms of electrical conductivity, hardness, thickness, gloss and oxidation resistance with copper, nickel, opaque and shiny tin, silver passivation and tin passivation. In addition to the processes described above and performed in the new plant, Silga provides the application of treatments in gold and protective 64.
