Silga’s continuous research for cutting-edge solutions that allow to achieve ever greater performance, has made possible the development of an innovative zinc-nickel process, implemented in both static and in-barrel systems.
Thanks to this new process, Silga offers to various sectors, such as automotive, hydraulic, railway and aerospace ones, an alkaline zinc-nickel treatment with high technical and aesthetic performances, also applicable to objects with particular geometries, subject to bending and susequent machining, obtaining excellent results in the test phase, in particular at the bend test. Their high degree of ductility is certified by ISO 8401:2017, while corrosion resistance at the bending point after insertion into the Salt Spray room for 1008 hours (42 days) is certified by ISO 10289.
The process, applicable on different metal substrates such as steel and its alloys, copper and its alloys, allows to obtain semi-glossy, transparent and black finishes.
